Visit to St. Petersburg, FL

I was fortunate to get to visit my youngest sister Juli this month.  5 days in The Sunshine State!
I was thrilled to travel with my new sister in-law Tissa King.  Juli lives in St. Petersburg, Florida.  It is such a neat area.  So much to do.  Shopping, tons of cool places to eat, breathtaking views and people watching!  I would LOVE to move there.  A wish of mine is to wake up and have a water view.  Just think if you could see the beach, hear the waves, feel the sand between your toes whenever your little heart desired.  I would wake up daily in a good mood?  How could you not be happy?  I'm not picky folks.  That water view could be the lake and I would still happily sip my coffee of a morning, listen to all the birds, watch the wildlife and be perfectly content!  Back to the Florida trip.....  Juli took us to see some of the most beautiful and peaceful places.

Looks like a picture that comes with a new frame.
Yes, I totally asked this mom if I could take a pic of her
adorable and relaxed little guy.

We went to eat at Hula Bay Club in Tampa.
This was our view so you can imagine I was one HAPPY MOMMA!

We drove a little over an hour towards Sarasota where we spent a couple of days at the Siesta Key Beach.  AMAZING!  No joke!  I had no idea the beach would be this gorgeous.  I will say no beach vacation I've been on compares to this beach.  I read online it was voted the best US beach with the whitest, cleanest, coolest sands.  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.  Check out the Sunshine Skyway Bride we had to take.  It's so HIGH and kind of scary actually.  They made it to where cruise ships can pass underneath it.  If that would have taken place as we were on it, I might have passed out.  Really cool views though.  By the way every attempt I took to capture this bridge failed.  I totally stole this off the web.  You can tell it's signed by the photographer.  The rest were taken by me.

I WIN!  I did get this cool pic ALL by myself!

Here are a few shots from around her house ~ ENJOY
:) I know I did (:

A HUGE THANK YOU TO JULI FOR HAVING US~  I really enjoyed our visit.  I know you are far from family right now but you have so much around you to use to continue creating yourself.  Keep growing stronger in your faith.  Keep reaching your personal goals you've set.  Keep finding the little things in life that MAKE YOU HAPPY!  I would use everything surrounding you to draw your happiness from and just LOOK at what all is around you at this moment in your life.  I'm not saying it's always easy ~ I'm simply saying take it ALL in and appreciate where you are NOW.  God would have never put that dream in your heart if he didn't want you to live it!

~ I LOVE YOU JULI ~

C-O-U-G-A-R-S are WINNERS

I have been a little busy when it comes to updating my blog.  Here is a BIG reason why.  Since the beginning of May our Oklahoma Cougars have been kicking some major booty.  Those boys seriously turned it on and it showed in almost every game.  Not to say they didn't take some lumps along the way, it's just they used that to build from and be all that much better of a team.  Mike has always tried to teach them that the pre-season and middle of the ball season is what you build from.  It's the end of the season you work the hardest for.  Do your business in the big tournaments where it counts.  Show what a great team you are when it really counts!  Hey Mike, I'd say they were listening!  I know they made you proud!
June 22, 23, 24 & 25 Cougars are in Muskogee for AAA State Tourney!
IT WAS SO STINKIN' HOT ~ CRAZY, STUPID HOT!!  What was suppose to be a 3 day tourney ended up being 4 because those silly boys just had to play all the way through the loser's bracket to end up winning 4 games ALL BACK-TO-BACK sending it to an additional day of play for THE CHAMPIONSHIP!  They fought hard and made some parents super proud!!!  They ended up playing a great game against the Tulsa Tarheels taking 2nd (3-1).  No blowout that's for sure.  We watched this team beat up on other teams.  Glad we hung in there.  I know this Momma was happy and proud of their accomplishments!

After the game on Monday night we had to drive home and turn around to head back out on the road to be in Kansas City/Liberty Missouri by Wednesday June 27th- July 1st for The 2012 Global World Series.  I can say even with a lot of laundry (uniform washing), re-packing, driving and lack of sleep..... IT WAS WORTH IT!

Our goal was to make this an awesome memorable trip for those deserving boys.  They hung out, shopped, went swimming, went out to eat EVERYWHERE, a little Birthday celebration at Dave & Busters, played some great baseball, visited Kansas City Royals Facility & Arrowhead Stadium.  Some of them actual got on the field for some great pictures since The All Star Game was coming to town and the city was getting everything prepped.  After all was said and done those boys made their own dreams come true.  THEY WON!  COUGARS WIN IT!  WHAT A WAY TO END THE SEASON COUGARS!  CONGRATS BOYS!  FOUGHT HARD FOR A WELL DESERVED OUTCOME!!!
Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure:
